Nate Patel - Owner / Operator

Nate’s career before the shop was in the aviation industry as an aircraft inspector for Bombardier Aerospace. While being an aircraft inspector, he was blessed with being able to see the world. This was not his passion as Nate wanted to create a business that allowed him to express his artistic talents while also indulging in one of his main interests, firearms.

Nate’s passion for customizing firearms surprisingly came from playing Call of Duty. He wanted to customize and paint his guns the way he wanted so he charged straight into it. Nate has been customizing and painting firearms for over 20 years. He is certified in Flageology from Duracoat. Nate attended Duracoat University in order to understand the correct way to paint firearms so that he could learn how to achieve the perfect paint job.

Nate lives in Cumming, Georgia with his wife and three boys, who he loves more than anything in the world. He hopes to build the business to the point that his kids can be a part of it one day. Nate has designed The King of Camo to be a place that gave people the freedom to customize their firearms any way they wanted, while also providing an environment that was free of ego contests and good ole boys mentality. That’s what Nate wants the business to be, and we strive to achieve it every day.

Natan Ashok Patel did not start his career in the firearms world, but his artistic passion and drive for excellence are the key cornerstones behind The King of Camo. Nate wanted to create a place that could provide the best quality firearm modification, laser engraving, and custom Kydex manufacturing possible.

Here at the shop we are bound and determined to provide the best possible customer service. We are breaking the norms that the general public has when they think of a run-of-the-mill gun store. We are here to provide you with the best knowledge possible to make your project a reality. You should have the freedom to customize and create the project that YOU want and not the other way around.

The team at The King of Camo are firm believers in exercising your rights as a United States Citizen. We believe in the 2nd Amendment. We believe that every American citizen has the fundamental right to protect themselves and to keep and bear arms. In doing this we can help in all aspects of gun ownership. We want to help you find the right firearm for you, help modify it to suit your specific needs, and also provide the necessary training to help the owner feel comfortable exercising their rights as an American.

From the beginner to the expert, everyone is welcome here at the shop. In every aspect of a gun owner’s life, there is a gradual evolution in knowledge, skill, and training which is why we are here. The Crew

RYAN MATHESON

Ryan Matheson - General Manager

Ryan has worked in numerous fields before coming onto the team back in the fall of 2021. Ryan is a veteran who served in the Georgia Army National Guard for 5 years as an Infantryman and Mortarman with the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team that was a part of the 3rd Infantry Division. After the military, he had numerous jobs in the private security sector, electrical contracting and project management. He can bring all of the positive aspects from his previous jobs to his role at The King of Camo.

Ryan has always had a passion for firearms and has wanted to pursue a career path in furthering that passion. He is also pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in History focusing on Military History. He is a giant nerd and goofball and loves his work at the shop. Ryan wants to grow and build the business to help create a place that goes against established norms in the firearm community and advocates for responsible gun ownership.

Ryan is married to his lovely wife and currently lives in Royston, Georgia. He hopes to one day help build the business to the point that The King of Camo becomes the one-stop shop to help responsible firearm owners at every stage of life when it comes to firearms. From understanding the laws associated with buying a firearm to the modifications and coating of them to help them fit the user better, to finally providing training to help build a safer gun-loving America.

DEVIN CHAMBERS

Devin Chambers - Gunsmith / Shop Foreman

 Devin is the most recent addition to the team at the shop coming on board back in September of 2023. Devin’s previous career was in welding and fabrication where he learned how to creatively solve problems and helped give him the skills to adapt to our gunsmithing environment.

Devin lives in Dawsonville, Georgia, and is married with a little girl and another kiddo on the way! His excitement and high-energy personality help drive him to do his absolute best when it comes to gunsmithing and holster making. Devin’s high-energy personality helps to make every customer interaction the best one possible. Devin is definitely one of the main components that makes the shop run smoothly and it wouldn’t be the same without him. He is an overall great guy and a great friend to have at The King of Camo.
